Modern Surf Villa overlooking Llandudno Beach

Breathtaking views that overlook arguably Cape Towns most beautiful beach. This incredible 4 bedroom house in Llandudno is the perfect holiday house for the whole family. 2 secured parking bays, a 17Meter lap pool and a 3 minute walk to the beach.

The space
Seafoam is a modern styled, north facing beach house with four bedrooms, all of which enjoy spectacular views of the beautiful Llandudno beach, ocean and surrounding mountains. Bedrooms have extra length queen, or double beds. Incredible sea, beach and mountain views impact the entire house. Just a 5 minute walk and you're on the pristine white sands of the beach. There are two secure parking bays in the garage behind the automatic doors. A 17m lap pool runs along most of the outside living area, abutting the deck and lawn. NB. The pool Is unfenced and does not have a pool cover. There is a secluded flat at the bottom of the house where a couple lives. They help manage the rentals and keep our guests smiling.

Guest access
The lap pool adjoins the deck with loungers and lawn. This is a great space for barbecues and relaxing. However, please note there is no pool fencing or pool cover so it's not safe for unsupervised toddlers. Upstairs is a studio space with yoga mats and an office desk with printer facilities. Downstairs is a garage with two secure parking bays which come with remote control access.

Interaction with guests
The house is serviced daily by our Malawian houseman, George, who comes in from 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday. He does general cleaning, washing and ironing and maintains the garden, but does not do any cooking. If you require him to be in attendance outside of the above times, this needs to be negotiated with him privately, but please note, he is not obliged to come in for extra hours. The flatlet is occupied by myself and my partner who manage the house. It has its own entrance to the house with its own facilities and is separate and private from the lettable space above.

Other things to note
No parties or commercial events are permitted, unless by prior arrangement with management.

The neighbourhood

Llandudno is generally a safe neighborhood with 24hr security patrols. Seafoam has an alarm system with infrared beams and is linked to armed response based in Llandudno. The house is situated in a short, quiet cul de sac, with very limited traffic, which is great for easy garage access. This also means little or no vehicular noise. The eastern boundary is a beautiful greenbelt with indigenous fynbos. The western and southern boundary are dominated by granite cliffs and fynbos shrubbery. This creates a wonderful sense of privacy. The house is North facing and has panoramic views of the ocean and its surrounding mountains.
Llandudno beach can be dangerous for swimming, so use caution when on the beach. During the summer months the Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club is on beach patrol on Sat afternoons, 2 - 6, Sunday's and public holidays from 10am - 6pm. Recently the club has been doing additional patrols daily throughout the summer season. Check first if they are on patrol, if uncertain, although you are able to observe this activity from the house.

Getting around
With Hout Bay just a 5 minute drive over the hill and Camps Bay a 7 minute scenic drive in the opposite direction en route to the Cape Town CBD 20 minutes away, Llandudno is very well located. There are no shops in Llandudno which is why the residential area is so clean and doesn't have lingerers. Hout Bay boasts numerous excellent restaurants, supermarkets, petrol stations, banks and pretty much everything else one needs. Over Constantia Nek, also only 20 minutes away is the Constantia Wine Route, home to a number of top wine estates, including, Groot Constantia, Buitenverwagting, Beau Constantia and half a dozen others.
The My City Bus regularly passes Llandudno daily in both directions. This allows access to the Western Seaboard, City Centre and Southern Suburbs.
Despite this it is still recommended visitors to Cape Town hire a car to be able to have the freedom to enjoy the full offering of the Cape Peninsula and its surrounds.
