A truly heartwarming story about our Rainbow Nation

DARING DREAMS AND EXTRAORDINARY TALENT - A truly heartwarming story about our Rainbow Nation

Zip Zap, a uniquely South African circus family that's changed the lives of thousands of children in Cape Town was born from a simple dream, a tree, a trapeze bar and a rusty old truck 29 years ago. Established by South African born Brent van Rensburg and his French wife, Laurence Estève, their dream was to use the circus as a tool to bridge socio-economic gaps and to inspire and empower young people to build a new culture of peaceful co-existence in South Africa, inspired by the late Nelson Mandela.

With the global pandemic halting the live performance industry, Zip Zap found itself at a pivotal moment in its existence. Through adversity, came hope, creativity and an opportune moment to create something fresh, cutting-edge and contemporary that re-ignites hope in our country.

Born from these tumultuous times is MOYA, an acrobatic art film shot in the beautiful landscapes of Cape Town and rooted in South African culture seen through the eyes of our youth.

The screening will be available to view on-demand from any home around the world for a period of 48 hours from 00h00 on Saturday 24 April 2021 to 00h00 on Sunday 25 April 2021.
